Please come out Saturday night to honor those who were nominated to be our "Citizen of the Year" We had many excellent nominations this year - all who are very deserving of this award; you will hear about them and what people wrote about them just before announcing our Citizen of the Year. I know from personal experience what a surprise it is when you are recognized by the people of your community, and what a fabulous, but very humbling, feeling that so many were there at the awards banquet to support and honor you. Please make your reservation today!

I wish I still lived on the Island because I'd nominate the members of the Clan Na Gael for Citizens of the Year . For over 20 years, they have made BI a destination place for The Great Day. I can only imagine the economy impact this group has had on Beaver Island
. Up the Clan! I'll be with you in 2014, good Lord willing

Wow, I didn't know that if I'm able to show up for the dinner, people might heap praise upon me for being nominated. Don't rule me out for making an appearance. Today I'm going to see about the possibility of an early release.

Keeping my fingers crossed for tonight. Are there any more tables/seats left close to the door, not far from the bar?
If I don't make it, party like a pirate tonight.
Good luck to all :!:
