Please come out Saturday night to honor those who were nominated to be our "Citizen of the Year" We had many excellent nominations this year - all who are very deserving of this award; you will hear about them and what people wrote about them just before announcing our Citizen of the Year. I know from personal experience what a surprise it is when you are recognized by the people of your community, and what a fabulous, but very humbling, feeling that so many were there at the awards banquet to support and honor you. I wish I still lived on the Island because I'd nominate the members of the Clan Na Gael for Citizens of the Year . For over 20 years, they have made BI a destination place for The Great Day. I can only imagine the economy impact this group has had on Beaver Island
