Beaver Island Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours
Wed May 16 at the Circle M
6-8 pm
The board of directors for the Beaver Island Chamber of Commerce has been working hard over the last several months to review and access where we are as a Chamber and what direction we need to be going to accomplish our goals within our current budget. As many of you know our current Executive Director is retiring this fall and it will be a large undertaking to find his replacement. So we invite current and potential Chamber members to join us at our May 16th Business After Hours at the Circle M to get your feedback and input regarding the future and focus of the Chamber as well your thoughts for a new Executive Director.
We as a board of Directors of the Beaver Island Chamber of Commerce would love to see as many current and potential members as possible at our Business After Hours at Circle M this Wednesday May 16th 6-8 pm. It is a great opportunity to get an update on the latest Chamber happenings as well as giving you a chance to give us your ideas on subjects such as your wish list for our next Executive Director, ideas for possible new shoulder season events, new marketing projects you may like to see us work on, input on our current mission statement, and how we could find more ways to collaborate with other island organizations and entities.
We really would love to hear your ideas and feedback as this is a really important time for the Chamber as we work towards the future.

I commend the Chamber on their After Hours opportunity for current and potential members to attend and provide feed back. I wish everyone success in setting the course for the future of the Chamber which parallels the future of the Island. I would only suggest that there are many regular citizens not involved with business operations who have suggestions on what they would like to see from our BI Chamber in the future. It might be beneficial to hold a similar After Hours session open to the public for feed back this summer. I know people can always contact the Chamber with suggestions but that is no substitute for the synergy of group think and input.

Also this evening, you’ll have a chance to join the chamber and WVBI in welcoming our seasonal residents back to the island. WVBI will be there to record short greetings from our members to use on the air to offer folks 100 thousand welcomes back to the Emerald Isle. It’ll take you just a few minutes to contribute your voice to this project and give your customers a personal welcome back to the island on the radio. No cost other than your time, so we hope you will participate. KB / WVBI
