We are waiting for the paperwork to be finalized, then we'll be in transport to Mary Free Bed.Will post an update later, when we get settled over there..On another good note, Emmy slept 11 hours last night(the longest since we have been here)

! AND her sutures were removed this morning. WE BELIEVE!

Just wanted to give another update since it's been awhile. KK has been updating facebook regularly, but for those without it, this forum has helped keep everyone in touch with Emmy's progress. There was a lot of progress made this past week. Emmy started eating more and more solid foods, she started smiling, and now she's even giggling and laughing. It is so great to hear her little voice again, although we're still waiting for her speech to return. She has 3-4 hours of therapy everyday, and both the doctors as well as the physical therapists have been amazed with Emmy's progress. The followup with the neurosurgeon went well, and he doesn't need to see Emmy again until she's ready to go home (which will probably be another couple of months or so). Emmy wrote her name with her left hand, and has been giving regular high-five's and thumbs-up. Her patience and bravery has been surpassed only by that of her parents, who are also doing better and better every day. Please keep Emmy and family in your prayers this holiday season, and as Tiny Tim would say, "God bless us, everyone!"

Emmy said "hi" to KK this morning! The entire family is over the moon on this Christmas Eve!

I talked to Emma Jean this morning and they are all thrilled. Emmalee continues to improve each day.
