(Update 7/7/20) Commission on Aging Bingo

[COA Beaver Island]

I have had some questions about Bingo regarding the bingo cards. Each Bingo Card is good for the entire month of July. Each Monday a new set of numbers will be posted for the same card you started with. Please do not discard your card before the end of the month or until you receive a Bingo.

The Beaver Island Commission on Aging/Senior Center has introduced a social distancing Bingo game for Charlevoix County residents on Beaver Island age 60 and older who are registered with the Beaver Island COA office.

The new BINGO activity began on July 6, 2020 and because of no onsite activities until further notice the COA bingo will be played a bit differently to remain in compliance with current county COA/senior center guidelines.

BINGO rules will follow most standard BINGO games. Bingo cards contain 25 random numbers on them ranging from 1 to 75. Each week I will call the numbers by placing NINE randomly drawn Bingo numbers in four locations on Beaver Island and online. The numbers will be generated randomly via the internet.
Bingo players will find bingo numbers posted each week at:
1. Delwhinnie’s.
2. McDonough's Market bulletin board
3. Community Center bulletin board
4. Beaver Island COA office door
5. Beaver Island News on the Net

To win, mark five numbers in a row either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally to get one or as many bingo game wins as possible on each card. Shout out BINGO (or in this case) bring the winning card to the COA office to claim prizes.

BINGO cards are available at the Beaver Island Commission on Aging office where meal vouchers are purchased. Each client will be given one BINGO sheet with two playable cards on the sheet. New Bingo cards will be issued each month.

On the back of each Bingo card each month is a question too. The monthly question gives each bingo player the chance to share a memory or thought with the hopes of each of us learning something new or getting to know each other better. Don’t have a BINGO card? Stop by the BI COA office today to pick one up. There are plenty of fun prizes for bingo winners.
