Yvonne, I think your wording regarding the lack of dental care was very kind. Communication to the island regarding dental care has been extremely poor at best with patients making repeated calls and no answers. There is no planned date yet for Dental North to provide dental care as their dentist has had surgery and they are unsure whether they will be able to provide care. The next Beaver Island Health Center board meeting is September 12th. It's clear that the BI Rural Health Center and Dental North are not living up to their contracts with the island community.
