The 4th Annual BI Eco-Fair is this Friday evening and All day on Saturday.
All events are FREE !
Great speakers and information will be shared for ALL. Please DO look in town for the Eco Fair brochure with much more info.
The complete and updated schedule will include:
Friday at 6 pm at Holy Cross Hall: Opening and introductions with Water Blessing by Jannan Cornstalk, making of a CAIRN (Irish Tradition- bring a fist sized rock to add), followed by music by Seth Bernard at 8 pm, and following a presentation by Bill Markey on the Island Dark Sky Project at the Jewell Gillespie Park.
And Farm Fresh Samplings (yummy!!)
Saturday from 10 am to 2:30 at Heritage Park (across from Library): Vendors, Info tables, and Art in the Park.
10:30-11:30 at Library - Brad Kallio with ideas for renewable energy technology.
12 Noon: A Picnic Potlock (more yummy food)
11:30-12:30 Music by Seth Bernard and Levi Taylor
12:30 BI Eco Awards!!!!! For an Island individual and an Island business!!!
12:30-2:30 Dynamic speakers including topics of Enbridge Pipeline 5, Clean Water Campaign, Third Coast Conversations, and more!!!
Saturday at 3 pm we will move to the Holy Cross Hall and continue with . . . .
3:00- 4:30 - Stawberry Moon Tasting - serving Authentic and traditional Ashinabee Food.
4:30 - 6:30 - Listen to Peter Sinclair speak on Climate Change and Energy Solutions.
6:30 - Third Coast Conversations with Eric Hemenway, with participation of all who attend.
9:30 - Music with Seth Bernard and Levi Taylor - as we dance and sing into the night!
Join us as we learn and discuss and celebrate nature and sustainability solutions!!!!

Part of the Eco-Fair is an art project at Beaver Island Gallery (next door to Heritage Park) from 10 to 2:30. It will be a fun and interesting project for all ages. Gyotaku (Japanese fish printing ) and leaf printing for children.

Please come to join us on Friday and Saturday. Celebration of nature and sustainability on Beaver Island, and ideas and awareness of promoting solutions in ecology, renewable energy and local food systems.
