Gordon Heikka Update almost 5 weeks later

Post by Hoverguard »

Hi Folks
Chris and I would like to extend a heart felt THANK YOU to all of you that have sent cards, called to talk to either of us reguarding my healing progress, and a special thanks to all that have helped Chris with Gordon's Auto Clinic rental car deliveries and pickups.
I went to the doctors office in Traverse City a couple of weeks ago for a checkup. The Doctor was extreemly pleased with the results of the X-Rays they had taken to check that all was healing correctly in the repaired area of my hip socket. They also removed 38 staples from my left gluteus maximus which covers an extreemly large area. The doctor, not wanting to hurry the healing process wanted me to stay on toe touch on my left leg only for another 4 weeks. I am schedualed for physicle therapy twice a week and things have been going very well there as well.
I actually went to lunch at Stoney Acres a week ago and it felt so good to get out and eat my favorite Stoney Acre Burger. We also got to visit with a few people while there. I am getting around pretty good with my walker for short distances. I still need help getting up and down stairs. I am still not able to do any kind of automotive work and I am not going to rush my healing process. I am always at home if anyone wants to call and talk 231-448-2438 or Hoverguard@aol.com

I am hoping to be able to start Snow Plowing after the first of the year but I need some help from you.
I need a 4x4 plow vehicle either another Suburban or Truck of some make that is in good running shape and not totaly rusted out. The year range is 1994 or newer so my current plow equipment will fit on it. I would not be able to repair anything that is not working correctly. If someone would be able to help me with a good working dependable vehicle for plowing PLEASE call me and we can discuss details.

You are a tough "upper"! I hope the rest of your recovery goes as smoothly as possible, and that 2011 is a happy and healthy new year for you and Chris.
