DNR Plans for the outer Islands

Open house on the management of state-owned island properties.

Those interested in Lake Michigan islands have an opportunity to review and ask questions about the draft Northern Lake Michigan Islands Management Plan. This management plan covers state-owned land administered by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources on Beaver Island, Garden Island, High Island, Hog Island, Whiskey Island, North Fox Island and South Fox Island. This open house follows the May 2014 and November 2014 public meetings which gathered input from island residents, partners, tribal governments, local governments, and conservation organizations.
The open house will be held at the following location:
Monday, July 20, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
