Cleaning out your pantry before fall or heading home after your vacation here? Remember that you can donate unopened non-perishable items to the Food Pantry to help families here on the Island. Drop boxes are at the Community Center, the Beaver Island Rural Health Center, Holy Cross Church, Fresh Air and the Beaver Island Christian Church. Monetary donations are always needed and can be made payable to the Beaver Island Christian Church, attention Food Pantry, PO Box 21. Or, thanks to Joe Moore, a PayPal/credit card donation link is available on the Beaver Island News on the Net website home page, lower left corner, at beaverislandnews.com.
Thank you for your help, the Food Pantry Committee, Judi Meister, Beth Croswhite, Mark LaFreniere and Deb Plastrik

Tax-deductible donations can be sent to the Food Pantry by sending a check to Beaver Island Christian Church, with Food Pantry on the memo line. The church houses this community-wide pantry in its Gregg Fellowship Center. The address is PO Box 21, Beaver Island, 49782. Thank you!

Please remember to check the expiration date on items you donate. The food pantry can't distribute expired food, and will just have to throw it out.

Also, the public area of News on the Web has a link at the bottom of the page for donations. One of the link on the donations page is for PayPal donations to the food pantry.
