Our crew is here this week treating invasive Phragmites on Garden, High and Whiskey Islands.
If you should happen to be traveling to any of these islands, be aware that treated areas should be avoided for four hours after treatment. There is a blue dye in the herbicide that makes it visible, so it's easy to see plants that have been treated. We aren't treating any plant except Phragmites, and we're trying to treat every bit of invasive Phragmites in these areas...so a good rule of thumb would be to just avoid any and all areas where Phragmites is growing for this week.
Thanks!
