Frank:

Thanks for sharing your beautiful ice photography collection "A World of Ice". You have introduced to me (and perhaps many others) what incredible winter scenes exist on frozen Lake Michigan.

Never before having seen so much blue ice made me wonder what makes blue ice. So I checked with Professor Google who taught me that ice is sometimes blue because very dense ice absorbs every other color of the spectrum except blue---so blue is what we see.

Keep up your good work.

I wonder if you crack the blue ice open you find a rainbow of all the other colors that are absorbed :?:
They are great pictures Frank, keep them coming. :D
