I posted a seperate message about the potential base rate increase from Great Lakes Energy. I have not seen it posted that anyone is going to send a message to the company before the March 22 meeting or is coming to the meeting. My one voice is not going to make much difference. We need to respond in numbers so they know we are out here.

Read my other post again then send an email or letter to the company in Boyne City. If we at least complain about the surecharge being added to the new higher rate maybe they will not add the surcharge.

Don't forget that you will also pay 4% sales tax on this fee along with 4% on the electricity charge, something Great Lakes Energy conveniently never mentions.

This morning I emailed the Chairman of the GLE Board of Directors (a) stating my objections to the proposed base rate increase and (b) requesting the Board to vote NO on this proposal.
