Following the heavy snow fall that we experienced in Northern Michigan, more than 112 Islanders were left without power. A big THANK YOU goes out to John Gillespie and Mike McDonough for working day and night to restore power. Great Job!!!

Another thank you goes out to all the snowmobilers who have been clearing trails. We have had some fantastic days riding the trails and enjoying the beauty of the Island.

I agree 100% Pam. Some parts of the mainland are still without power and might not have power until Friday. Our TWO GUYS restored the whole island. Thank you guys!

Having made a similar comment at last nights St. James Township meeting I felt it proper to add a comment here. Yes our TWO GUYS did a great job in restoring our power, thank you. However, without naming the other individual who assisted them everyone should know that another Islander, unpaid, assisted our two guys for hours on end (days actually). This man would not want any recognition but it points out the level of commitment that many on the Island give back to the community. Thanks again.
