C.O.A. on Beaver Island information

Why would you never confide in a vacuum cleaner?
I will have the answer after this Charlevoix County Commission on Aging Beaver Island COA Office Announcement.
Please note that the Beaver Island COA office will be closed on Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day.
The office will reopen on Tuesday, September 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for meal voucher sales.
Due to Site Coordinator Lonnie Allen being off-island, September activities will be postponed during the first week of September. We appreciate your understanding.
We're excited to announce that our fall schedule is in the works! This season, we'll be bringing back Bingo, Bingocize, and a new game Card Bingo for our community.
Additionally, the first Congregate Meal will be hosted from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, at the Beaver Island Community Center. The meal will be catered by the Shamrock. The cost is **$9 for those 60 and older** and **$13 for those under age 60.** Menu will be announced soon.
Please note that due to multiple incidents last year where reservations were made and not honored, we will return to a prepay system in 2024. The Congregate Meal is prepay reservations only. All individuals wishing to attend must purchase a meal ticket no later than September 20.
