Farm to Families Food Boxes

The Charlevoix County Commission on Aging on Beaver Island is planning to distribute 90 fresh fruit boxes for Beaver Island residents ages 60 and older the first week of June. The boxes are provided by the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan from the USDA. Each box contains 3#pounds of whole fresh apples, 4# of whole fresh oranges and 3# of whole fresh pears. More complete details will be announced on Monday, June 1. Thank you for your understanding while logistics are ironed out.
