There is always two sides to everything and unlike Ken I appreciated Steve running our chamber and felt he did a good job. My Bed and Breakfast did very well when he was here and I contribute much of it's success to Steve/chamber support. I hope you both are enjoying your retirement in SC as you both deserve it!

Running the Chamber takes a lot of work and I think Paul is doing a good job as well, although each man has a different way of doing the job it doesn't mean either of them are wrong.

As many already know we have decided to no longer run the Bed and Breakfast but it was fun while it lasted.

Thanks for the kind words Andy! Indeed I agree that Paul is doing a good job and wish him all the best. We look forward to being BI summer visitors but perhaps will wait until next summer. Best wishes. Steve

Hey Retired Chamber Guy, If I ever make it back to the island this summer, I'll keep my good eye on the lookout for your sign. If found, I'll ship it off to you in Camden. Would look nice as BI memorabilia out by your pool. Reminder of the good times with executive parking. Looking forward to sipping rum drinks with you if I get out of here.

:-({|= My husband and I have been coming to beaver Island for over 20 years and own property in two locations on the island. I have followed the form for years. But I have never been moved to speak until now! So many people have shared interesting ideas and comments over the years. This online fighting shows your reader you have no respect for yourself if you are so willing to type words of such negative magnetite. Vacationers that bring income to beaver island each year are not coming this spring perhaps because they or family members are on the front lines now or may even be sick. We have 3 family members with asma, 1 with lupus, 1 (under 2 years ) with hydrocephalus . I am a medical person caring for mentally and physically handy cap persons. I say all this because I know everyone has people in their lives that are having a difficult time in their life right now. Let's have more Blessings posted on this form and less #:;`% ing!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Nana and any other visitors, Don't take the banter on the forum too seriously. It's a great place for information and sometimes for dueling. As someone who has spent more than half my years here, I can tell you that we might be verbally jabbing someone one day and the next day (or even that same night) elbow jabbing them with jokes and buying them beers at the Shamrock. It's a different place and that's part of what makes it wonderful; bark is worse than the bite. Been that way for as long as I remember. It just comes out more in March.

In the wink of an eye, half the posts here are gone. I know the term is "blink of an eye" but I've only got one eye so it's a wink not a blink. However, glad to see Mr. Taylor has started a new post generously offering assistance to those on the island in need of some financial assistance in addition to all of his previous good deeds. Outstanding class act of caring and generosity in these turbulent times of need and concern. Stay safe everyone, hope to be back soon.
