Job Description:
Beaver Island Community School is seeking to employ an individual to serve as the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Program Activity Leader. This position will assist in the facilitation of the school's implementation of the state's 21st Century Community Learning Center grant using key program components to effectively and efficiently address both student and school community needs. The position will be approximately 12 hours per week and person will be in attendance, supervising staff and students during all assigned program hours. Nonprogram hours will be spent assisting the Site Coordinator in planning, facilitation, and evaluation of the classroom program.

Education and Qualifications:
Must be at least 19 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. Prefer a person with BA in a â??child related fieldâ?￾, i.e.: Early Childhood, Elementary or Secondary Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Child/Youth Development, Child Guidance/Counseling, Child Psychology, Family Studies, Social Work, or Human Services. Will train and help person attain any requirements. Experience with supervision and curriculum development preferred.

· Responsibilities:
· Provide direction and assist the Site Coordinator in managing the after-school program
· Monitor staff and volunteers
· Work in partnership with school-day and partner agencies
· Assist in managing the recruitment and retention of students
· Support the Site Coordinator in ensuring that the program has a posted schedule and daily written lesson plans with staff assigned to specific duties
· Support the Site Coordinator in maintaining all staff/ student attendance, enrollment records, and ensuring that all records are up to date in the statewide evaluation system (EZReports and YPQA)
· Attend all mandatory meetings, conferences and trainings
