Vaccination(s) Update
The Beaver Island Rural Health Center has both the under- and over-65 2020/21 flu vaccines on order and anticipate delivery mid to late September. We look forward to announcing their arrival and scheduling your appointment! Additionally, the under- and over-65 Pneumonia vaccines are both currently available at the Health Center. Finally, if you are interested in the Shingles vaccine the shortage is finally over and we can easily arrange for you to receive this injection on the Island. It's great to see the BIRHC posting important and timely information on this Forum. This is going to be a tough year and we all need to be factually informed to stay safe. I appreciate the postings and am sure others feel the same. Stay Safe!

The BIRHC has not yet received our shipment of flu vaccines, nor an estimated time of arrival. Central Drug and Rite Aid are experiencing similar issues and are both currently out of the over-65, but do have a few under-65 in stock. For those who will be heading off-Island very soon, Walgreens just received a shipment today! We will keep you posted as we get updated information.
