We had a great turnout on Tuesday with the Immunity Fruit Boxes provided to the Charlevoix County Commission on Aging from the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan.
There were 90 boxes delivered to Beaver Island via Island Airways and distribution went very well. I especially want to thank the Welke's for their support, help and use of their facility to distribute these boxes; and thank you to the volunteers who helped hand the boxes out. Your support is much appreciated.
I would like to offer any remaining Charlevoix County citizens age 60 and older who are residents of Beaver Island who did not pick up a box of fresh fruit on Tuesday to visit the Commission on Aging office today. We have 25 boxes of fresh fruit remaining and I do not have enough cool storage for these boxes. Give Lonnie Allen a call at 2124 or stop by the office between 8 am and noon today (Wednesday, June 3.)
Thank you again,
Lonnie
