Here are this weekâ??s news and notes from your Resilient Beaver Island master planning project:
Special Public Open House on new Master Plan Monday, Feb. 6th at 7 p.m.
It's crunch time for the new Master Plan... come have a meal and have your say!
Please attend a special, interactive public open house at the Beaver Island Community Center on Monday, February 6 at 7 p.m. Enjoy a meal and the company of your friends and neighbors while sharing your ideas and feedback with the Peaine Township and St. James Township planning commissions. Your opinions and ideas are needed!
In particular, the planning commissions need your help to identify the individuals and organizations willing to partner together to work to achieve the communityâ??s vision for the future.
Planning Commission working meetings Jan. 31st and Feb. 7th
Also be aware that working meetings of the Joint Planning Commission will be held the next two Tuesday nights, January 31st and February 7th, at 7 p.m. in Peaine Township Hall. Discussions will include Future Land Use, the Zoning Plan, and reviews of draft chapters for the new Beaver Island Master Plan. Draft chapters of the new master plan will be made available online in the near future!

Just a reminder about this meeting tonight. It would be nice to get input from as many people as possible as this process winds down. Thanks to the members of the planning commissions in both townships for committing so much time to the master plan project.
