It is with much sadness that we had to leave the Island today without Hercules. Our cottage is located on East Side Drive, Wicklow beach across from Johnny Martins trail/gravel pit where he was last seen. Hercules was rescued by my daughter Erin, she found him in a ditch wet and very sick, she nursed him back to health and is very attached to him as we all are. She just moved into her own apartment with Hercules. She did not want to leave him with anyone else on her trip to the island. She was vigilant in monitoring the doors to make sure he wouldn't get out. Unfortunately he found an opportunity and bolted out. Needless to say we have been desperately searching for him, posts on the forum, photos all over town, A raccoon trap (thank you Grasmick's) and catnip sprinkled all over our yard (thank you Heidi). Erin is beyond devastated, Hercules is her family in Detroit. Chris and I are literally lmoving to Nashville tomorrow-furniture has been shipped there already and our son is away at college, Erin is staying in Detroit with her baby- Hercules....We are not giving up hope and pray that Hercules is found He's out there and we are offering a $100 reward for his safe return.
