Thanks on Historic Question

Post by CoolPix.L19 »

Like to thank those that gave me the serious answers on the question I asked about Point Le Par being near Sand Bay and about the forest in question existing as well. And I could have done without the stuff from the chamber of commerce who should have realized I got a book at one of the museums. Thanks to those who helped out.

Historic question

Post by Kathy Speck »

I am sure our Director at the Chamber was just doing his job promoting the Historical Society since the organization is a Chamber member. I also noticed he suggested the website of Paradise Bay Dive Shop who is also a Chamber member. I also noticed that last post by Maureen Abele suggested you talk to Paradise Bay Dive Shop too. I am sorry the Chamber was so rude to respond to any inquiries you may have had.

History question

I was glad to see Jane Dyer's post. Dick Burris, local diver of long standing, said the same thing about all the pond net stakes in that area.

Kathy, has the Chamber set a date for next year's marathon?

Thanks for asking about the Marathon. Though we had a terrible day for the marathon over Labor Day weekend, it was still a success. When the next one is, however, we will not know until we talk with the event coordinator - Good Boy Events. This will be happening over the next several months and we will let out the information as soon as we know. As always, any info about the Chamber and the Beaver Island events can be found on our website: beaverisland.org
