Re: History of Beaver Island Speaker
Our children went to Romeo schools and we live in Washington Township. I was born on Beaver Island and lived there until 10th grade so can help. I know of others who can give you more information if you would like.

Re: 8/9 Sepeshy Mural: BEHIND-THE-SCENES VIRTUAL TOUR, TALK, AND CONVERSATION
My husband and I wanted to attend this downstate but the website is saying it’s virtual. So does that mean we will be on line versus driving to Detroit for 1 1/2 hours and the cost would be $70 for two people?

Re: Beaver Island/Wisconsin
I misspelled the restaurant. It’s Quivey’s Grove and the address is Fitchburg right next to Madison.

Re: Beaver Island/Wisconsin
It’s called Guivey’s Grove. It has a really cool barn that we have eaten at. More casual, with ribs and other good food. Then the main farm house is a bit fancier and is where my daughter saw the menu. The place has been restored and is well worth eating at.

Beaver Island/Wisconsin
My daughter lives in Madison, Wisconsin and was out to dinner with her friends. She was a bit surprised to see what was on the menu!

I have been following these posts, but never got such a chuckle as now. I dare any man to say the above to any woman these days!

I have stayed out of all of the Forum arguments in the past, but have to put my 2 cents into these posts. I was totally unaware of what has been going on at Holy Cross. And I am saddened and even angry that anyone would be unkind to Father Jim, and even the previous priest. These men have given up e...

We have attached the video clip from the Today show with Dad on the Smucker's jar (Thank you Tina Morgan for providing the clip). It was a 100 years in the making. www.today.com/video/today/56850411/#56850411

As many of you are aware, our Dad, Lawrence, celebrated his 100th birthday on November 15th. Back in September, we completed paperwork to have his picture put on the Smucker's jelly jar on the Today show with Willard Scott. Because they have so many entries, they are just now getting him on the prog...
