When she successfully tracks down the owner of a box of boyhood treasures that she found in her house she begins to believe she might have the power to influence more of the people around her. Shackleton's Antarctic Adventure is a film that tells the dramatic true story of explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton's now-legendary 1914-1916 British Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition. A testament to heroism and human endurance, the 28-man crew survived nearly two years in the Antarctic when its ship, the Endurance, was trapped and then crushed by pack ice.

Rand Shackleton, a distant relative of Ernest Shackleton, will present Shackletonâ??s Antarctic Adventure along with Pure Antarctica a short film he made in 2003 retracing Shackletonâ??s historic journey. Said to be the greatest survival story of all time, Randâ??s in-depth oral presentation will include question and answer opportunities for the audience. A truly fascinating afternoon for the whole family!
