Try calling 888-446-4095 and ask instead of posting it here.

It is a good question, how do people feel about this. Basically the harbor is completely clear, should the ferry run?

It might be nice to get some people to the Island for the Great Day but where will they stay. I heard the only motel available has been booked for weeks?

Everywhere you look you will see that companies that do run based on ice out availability. I know when I was on the board there were discussions about the need for a weather availability policy but I really don't know what the status of that is. The question always was that these trips were not "profitable". Which led me to ask the question, if we are taking such large sums of taxpayer money to operate the boat then why are we not listening to our customers (the public) and doing everything possible to adjust to the needs, other companies do.

if the boat ran and there was more housing available many more people would come. i have even debated on bringing my big trailer out for more people to stay.

What a great thing for the ferry to run this weekend. Does the BIBC publish what it costs to make a roundtrip? It would be nice to know. Happy St. Patrick's Day.[/b]
