Upcoming Ceili and Hooley

I was asked to post the following:

A group of over 50 Chicago Irish folks and some directly from Arranmore, County Donegal, Ireland will be on the Island this weekend.

There will be a Ceili (Traditional Irish music & dancing.) on Friday night at Holy Cross Hall beginning at 8:00 p.m. Come out and learn Irish Set Dances, Waltz's and Quick Steps. On Friday you must bring your own refreshments.

By popular demand all the way from County Donegal recording artist DJ Danny will be spinning discs to learn dances by.

On Saturday beginning at 8:00 p.m. there will be a Hooley (Traditional evening of music, dance and song) at Holy Cross Hall. Various artists will be performing. There will be a Cash Bar and $10 admission.

Let's join in and keep the Irish traditions going.

Please note that the venue for Friday has been changed.

The Ceili will be held at the Shamrock Friday evening beginning at 8:00 p.m. (That's island time).

The Hooley will still be held at Holy Cross Saturday evening from 8:00 p.m. til midnight.
