Cashman Fundraiser

The Beaver Island Historical Society will be sponsoring a fundraiser for the BIHS Director Bill Cashman. Bill was recently diagnosed with cancer.
There will be a Spaghetti Dinner at the Shamrock on Thursday, 9/27/2007 from 5 p.m. til 8 p.m. Free Will Donation and Cash Bar.
If you are unable to attend, and would like to help out, you can send a check to:

Lets all pitch in and help out! Bill Cashman is a fine man and in the view of many the formost expert on Beaver Island history.
If you can't show up at the dinner please send a check.

This was done in the "old fashion" post it late, less than a week before Beaver Island way, vs planning a few weeks ahead to max out the information via other sources like NorthernIslander & Beaver Beacon.

Thank you to the amazing Historical Society board and especially to Alvin LaFreniere for doing this.
Thanks to Eric and Dana and the Shamrock.
And Thank You to everyone -- it really overwhelmed us the number of people who came.
Beaver Island is a very special place â?? we may be poor financially but we could not be richer in friends. I thank you all for your help and good wishes and for coming out for my dad â?? tonight was something that we will never forget.
