Sr. Agnes (Clare) Thiel, OP, passed away October 17, 2006, age 97. She taught on Beaver Island many decades ago, during two different time periods.
Sister Agnes Clare's memories of her times on B.I., along with those of several Dominican Sisters who served on the island, were recorded by the BIHS over three years ago at the Marywood Center in Grand Rapids.
