News From Iraq

Received the following from a friend in Grand Rapids, thought it would be good to share. It's interesting how the media controls what we see and hear. Sad. With an election cycle coming up you can see the spin (or they don't sell commercials!).

"For your information, I am forwarding a note from one of our
customers. It gives a little different perspective on the situation in
the Middle East. Thought you might find it interesting.

"By the way, my son reports from downtown Baghdad that things in Iraq
are
nothing like that which the media portrays. More buildings are in
rubble
than standing but that is from the local Iraqi gang warfare, not the
U.S.
offensive. The local Iraqi citizens are VERY GRATEFUL for our presence
in
that part of the world. Thanks, however, to CNN (and the rest of the
networks) our troops are suffering some morale problems and are
beginning to
feel a little less appreciated. Most of them have quit watching the
network
news programs because they so misrepresent our military's efforts. In
other
words, folks, contrary to what the media spin-doctors are telling
everyone,
THE CITIZENS OF IRAQ ARE GLAD WE ARE THERE TO HELP THEM. (And that is
straight from the soldiers who are stationed there as we speak)

O.K. I'm done now."

Dave"
