Correction from Dr. White: Re: Dr. Wendy White and the BIRHC

I'm afraid we made a mistake in the September issue in the News from the Townships article on page 16.
Dr. Wendy White points out that we misheard her and she did not say that 'an unnamed board member had threatened to saddle her with such a high rent requirement that she would have to move off the island.'
What she did say was that "a prominent member of our community said that 'the board is going to make Wendy's rent so high that she won't be able to afford to have a space in the new building.'"
Our apologies to both the BIRHC Board and Dr. Wendy White for misquoting her. Our intent was certainly not to inflame matters and we are sorry for the unfortunate error on our part and will make efforts to be more cautious in the future.
