I have one recommendation in New Orleans - the high point of our visit. The WWII / D-Day Museum was amazing. It is the most comprehensive display we have ever seen. The WWII video narrated by Tom Hanks cannot be missed. Spectacular!

We found Avery Island extreamly intereting. The place where they make Tabasco sauce and it is on an island that is a bird santuary. Many birds and animals you would otherwise not see. The smell is heavenly unless you do not like that smell.

My good friend from the Marine Corps Brent Broussard was from a place called Pecan Island, Louisiana. Loved the place worth a visit in his memory.

Hi Tom & Cheryl

Nancy and I drove parts of the Natchez Trace Parkway. A nice scenic drive with lots of history. Here is a link.

We appreciate all the suggestions. I knew there had to be more to it than throwing beads on Bourbon Street :-) Tom
