Thank you to Kalamazoo College faculty and students along with a strong contingent of Island residents who worked for 3 hours making a huge dent in the knapweed removal at LSB. This effort helps ensure that Pitcher's Thistle (a federally and sate endangered species) will remain on that dune area. Ed Leuck provided a fun botany experience while we worked. A note of thanks extends to the Transfer Station for their assistance with a truck load of knapweed!
See you next year and thanks again,
Beth, Pam, and the Little Traverse Conservency
