The Beaver Island Community Center was informed today by the Children of the World in Harmony 2012 Festival producers that the Mongolian Children's Palace performers have been denied their visas by the American Embassy in Mongolia, and will be unable to travel to the United States to appear in the festival.
The Wattana Wittaya Academy Girls Choir and Dance Group from Bangkok, THAILAND will appear on Beaver Island instead (visas already approved!) for one performance only on Tuesday, June 26th at 8pm.
Having performed in China, Hong Kong, Finland, Holland, Hungary, Estonia, Russia, Spain, and the United States, this group of 40 girls promises to provide Beaver Island with another wonderful, culturally diverse experience of dance and song!
We sincerely regret this inconvenience. Current ticket holders for both of the scheduled performances are being contacted throughout the weekend and have the option of transferring their tickets to the new performance date, or receiving a full refund.
