MOW and Hot Lunch update

Post by CVX Commission on Aging »

Due to some inquiries I just wanted to clarify some information regarding the Home Delivered Meal (meals on wheels) and Congregate Meal (hot lunch) programs from the Charlevoix County Commission on Aging.
  • Both programs are still in force throughout the county!

Whenever school is closed within a particular community meal services (both programs) are also suspended and centers are closed for the safety of clients, volunteers and staff.

Frozen meals are always available for being prepared for inclement weather, and great for those who only make it to town weekly, etc. These are the same freshly made, nutritiously balanced meals served at the Center that are packaged and frozen, and only require 2 to 5 minutes in the microwave!
If you have any questions, or would like to find out more about how to get frozen meals for you or someone you know, just call Ann at 448-2022.
