Islanders welcome and encouraged to join the Community in the Beaver Island Master Plan Update Open House.

Both St. James and Peaine Township Planning Commissions will be at the BIC Center next Wednesday, August 17th from 2-6pm to answer questions, share & listen to ideas and provide a Community Survey for residents to fill out.
If you are unable to attend physically, this survey will also be available online at both Townships' webpages.

Where to find the survey on Peaine's website? I see the open house notice on the page but not the survey.

Thank you for posting this important meeting. In the Beaver Island Transportation Authority's 2021 plan update, they have proposed a revenue enhancement for the boat operation by possibly levying up to 5mils on St. James Township property owners only. As I understand it, this would only effect St. James Township property owners but think it might be a subject of interest to discuss for all of Beaver Island and its future. Hopefully this is already on the agenda.
