Maintenance Worker

St. James Township is posting for a maintenance person to do general maintenance for the township. This is latest set of information about this position.

St. James Township Hall, Governmental Center, St. James Township Campground maintenance is also part of this job. Fixing items that need repair, installation of signs on township properties, fencing installation, general maintenance of any township property can be requested by the township supervisor or other township officer. Pick up and delivery of necessary items for the repairs is also part of the job as well as keeping good records of the things accomplished, the time necessary for the work, and effective reporting to the township is required.
The job of picking up the trash at the locations owned by the township including the areas around town is to become part of this position as well. The checking of the street lights may be needed as well. There may be certain cleaning jobs that can be added to this list as well. Replacement of flags and other things might also be needed. Basically, the maintenance position will be moved forward and other jobs may be added as well.
Snow shoveling at the St. James Township Hall for the two regular entrances and the ramp entrance for ADA access.

This is a year-round position with serious responsibilities.
