CV-19's next victim: the postal service?

I know this happens every few years, but this time it sounds serious: Due to the corona virus, revenues are down sharply and lawmakers warn that if funding is not provided very soon, the US postal service will be going bankrupt and closing as early as June. We should be thinking ahead about how this could affect us here on the island and as a country. I for one value the post office, depend on it greatly and am very concerned about the possibility of it closing. If you care, perhaps contact your representatives in Washington? If you don’t care, well then please disregard this.

Update: 4/11/2020 - The White House says it will not sign the $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, if it contains any money to aid the postal service. Unless congress comes up with a veto-proof majority (unlikely), it sounds to me like the post office is done for!

Nope, according to propublica: "Last month’s $2 trillion bailout bill barred President Donald Trump, his family or other officials from benefiting from one of the law’s giant loan programs. But as reporters noticed, there was no such language included for other elements of the bailout. Some provisions of the bailout are particularly beneficial to businesses like Trump’s."

Maybe, could, perhaps, possible, unknown forsure...now there is some stellar reporting. Garbage. Should of, could of, would of reporting . Get your facts straight. Just because it could be does not make it so. I don't disagree with concerns, but I disagree with the media making up scenarios and not reporting facts. The post office has had decades of problems you can research. Their problems are of a structural and poor business model nature and have nothing to do with COVID 19. They have tried to make changes in the past but often Congress blocks meaningful reform. They once wanted to close 3700 low use rural post offices. They also wanted to deliver mail only 5 days a week to save money, (there even was talk about 3 days a week). Congress and special interest groups shot those reforms down.

As for Prez Cheeto, He has started all of the following businesses below. They have hundreds of thousands of employees either directly or indirectly benefitting from their existence.
Those employees contribute a massive amount of tax dollars to local, State and Federal coffers. I'm sure many have been affected by government mandates at the State and Federal level of Government like the ones Adolf's daughter is doing to Michigan. Those businesses should be entitled to the same relief as other eligible businesses. Perhaps studying basic and macro economics would help clarify things for you.
