Beaver Island Historical Society has just announced a series of
Water Ways/Event Programming for this summer.
For those of you interested in such matters, I highly recommend a new book by Martin Doyle entitled: The Source: "How Rivers Made America and America Remade Its Rivers." Much of it has to do with the destruction and revival of Lake Michigan.
