BI Water Trail

The long anticipated Beaver Island Water Trail has gone active on the Michigan Water Trail site. http://www.michiganwatertrails.org/trai ... cv&cid=361
Many thanks to Carol and Dan Burton, Mark Engelsman, and Bill McDonough, Wes Andrews, Bobbi Welke, Ed and Beth Leuck, Jennifer Kleitch, and Pat Lederle for their assistance with the paddling project. Our appreciation extends to Harry Burkholder and LIAA staff for their outstanding work. The project was made possible through funding by the Office of Great Lakes, Coastal Zone Management. The Preservation Association of Beaver Island has graciously agreed to be the host of the Water Trail Headquarters at the Community Center. Additional site work and signage will be on-going with a formal agreement between the new Trails Association and the townships as part of the site implementation plan.
Formal press releases and a dedication are being pursued by the PABI board.
