Beaver Island Michigan

I am thinking of switching to Consumer Cellular from AAA. They show Beaver Island as a covered area (at least the northern 2/3 of the island). Further research shows that Consumer Cellular also uses the Cingular Network (ATT). That also shows coverage of Beaver Island.

Does anyone know if Consumer Cellular/Cingular actually works on the island?

Cellular One which has also been acquired by AT&T maintains a tower in town and one down Kings Highway. You may have coverage at your house but it may not be great. The signal strength good around the harbor area and slightly out of town.
