A salute to the Beaver Islander!

The motor vessel BEAVER ISLANDER completed her maiden voyage to Charlevoix on this day (August 5) in 1962. At the time, she was the largest, fastest, and most advanced ship built for the run. She served as the flagship for 37 years, a record, until the EMERALD ISLE arrived in 1997
