Hans Stein RIP

Hans J. Stein, born in Weimar Germany, entered eternal
life on January 16, 2024, in Florida at the age of 85.
He was a former member of St. John Lutheran
Church in Rochester, Michigan where he lived for
36 years. He is survived by his spouse,
Davi, of 58 years, 3 of his four children, Christa,
Marta, Erik, and 5 grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his youngest son, Kurt, in
1998, also a member of St. John Church and School.
Hans found solace and joy in the natural beauty
of Beaver Island, Michigan where he made his home
after years of service as a Colon and Rectal surgeon at
Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He spent
the winter months near family in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

No formal funeral service is being planned. A committal
service in Rochester will be held in the spring.
