Brian J Anthony RIP

Brian J. Anthony, 65, of Boyne City, passed away on December 23, 2023 at his home.

He was born on January 12, 1958, in South Haven, MI, the son of Donald and Alvina (Cornstalk) Anthony.

Brian was a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians and served in the U.S. Army for 20 years.

He loved music, especially country and the Beetles. He played guitar in a band with family members as well. An avid outdooorsman, he hunted and fished and owned a commercial fishing business for several years.

On May 28, 1985, in Charlevoix, he married Diane M. Reibel who survives. Also surviving are his mother Alvina Napont of East Jordan, 3 children, Brian J. Jr Anthony of Boyne City, Ian James Anthony of Boyne City, Alyssa (Mick) Dole of East Jordan, 3 step children, Christopher Adams of Morgan City, LA, Mark Adams of Boyne City, Hope (Mike) Vincent of East Jordan, 2 sisters, Theresa Marie (Fabian "Sonny") Wabanimkee of South Haven, MI, Danneen Ann Anthony of Petoskey as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Brian was preceded in death by his father Donald A. Anthony Sr., 2 brothers, Donald A. Anthony Jr., and Daryl James Anthony, sister Donzell S. Rasch Anthony and infant daughter Danielle Anthony.

Services will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Fr. Peter Wigton officiating.

Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123.

Arrangements are in the care of the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
