Whenever Beaver Island quilters is mentioned, it brings back memories of a renowned quilter who loved her quilting that she passed onto many over the years. The boats and planes were always full of women with sewing machines on their laps coming for her quilting sessions. Gwen Marston loved her quilting, lilacs and Beaver Island. She is missed by many. Glad to see the legion of BI quilters live on.

Is this strictly for year round island residents? Summer residents? Gwen was always willing to share her knowledge and her beloved island. Sure do miss her.
