WE WANT YOU to help us help you—and help others too!

The Beaver Island Rural Health Center is undertaking the research, planning and implementation of a number of initiatives to address needs within our community and we need your help!

1. We are seeking to establish a list of vulnerable individuals who may require assistance in the event of an extended power outage. Please call 231-448-2275 or email: david@biruralhealth.org and include: the person’s name, address, phone number, name of emergency contact and phone number.

2. We are also seeking to establish a list of potential sub-contractors to assist in delivering Home-health Services to our elderly and/or disabled or homebound citizens. These services could include light-duty housekeeping such as doing dishes and/or vacuuming, meal preparation, running errands, grocery shopping, handling of mail and correspondence. More advanced care could entail bathing, dressing, medication management, toiletry and transfer from bed, chair, etc.
