Now is the time to pick up the COA May meal vouchers. To pre-order meal vouchers please call 231-448-2124 and leave a message.

The Charlevoix County Vewteran Affairs office monthly Veteran Social returns to Beaver Island. The Charlevoix County Veteran Affairs officer will visit Beaver Island from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the Beaver Island Community Center. The Veteran Affairs officer will meet with any United States Armed Forces veteran of any age. All veterans age 60 and older receive a complimentary meal voucher from the Charlevoix County Commission on Aging on Beaver Island. There will be complimentary coffee and donuts for all veterans attending the social.

Charlevoix County COA on Beaver Island will host the last COA Bingo game of the season at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3 at the BIC Center in the upstairs hangout.

Chair Yoga and Bingocize is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 4 at Peaine Township Hall. Join us for Chair Yoga and then stick around for Bingocize, which is another fun filled exercise program for COA clients to enjoy, while winning prizes. The BIC Center is welcoming Beaver Island residents who are age 60 and older for complimentary donuts and coffee. Coffee and donuts are available from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. on Friday, May 12 and Friday, May 26.
