The Beaver Island Youth Consortium (yes, the group is still alive and discussing it's future course) is seeking to hire a person or group to organize and run the annual 4th of July Carnival. The organizer will be paid $850.00. Anyone who is interested, contact Lisa Gillespie (448-2888) or Kitty McNamara (448-2353) as soon as possible.
The person or group would have the following responsibilities:
1. confirm rentals of equipment and tents
2. prepare press releases about the carnival
3. inventory supplies left from prior year and order new
4. arrange for transportation of rental equipment to island
5. inventory games and assess need for repair
6. make sure games are in good repair
7. contact businesses regarding sponsorship of games
8. contact artisans, organizations re: rental of tables at carnival
9. organize and supervise the work crews for:
* Set Up * Operation Day Of Carnival * Clean Up
10. prepare a detailed expense/income report
