Anyone interested, and especially members of the Beaver Island Archipelago Trails Association, are encouraged to show up at St. James Twp. Campground at 9 a.m. tomorrow. We will be clearing a trail and prospective new campsite spaces to the west of the current barbeque/picnic area. It will be exciting to see our campground enlarged!
Please bring your cutting tools..., many hands make light work!

Pardon my error in the previous post. The work being done tommorow will be to clear an overgrown path to the beach at the campground.

A huge thanks to the dozen folks that showed and worked hard to clear and widen the path to the lake and rake the picnic area free of leaves and braches. Special thanks to Kitty McNamara Green, 'the young bull' Patrick Cull of St.James Twp. and to Bill Markey for engineering and helping to build and oversee construction of the new log stairway.
