Someone just called asking that I post more veterans who haven't been mentioned.

Just this past year, we've lost:
Paul Nelson
Lloyd Cochran
Robert Griffith
Kenneth Slater
Thomas LeFevre
Richie Napont
Dick Burris
Vince Pickhardt
Harold Smith

and those we've also lost:
Gene Connaghan
Jerry LaFreniere
Bing McCafferty
Donald "Topper" McDonough
Archie LaFreniere
Bussey LaFreniere
Jerry Sowa
Phil Gregg

and those still with us:
Brett Maudrie
Dan Burton
Dick McEvoy
Pete LoDico
Gerald LaFreniere
Dan Gallagher
Hugh Cole
Rick Bucholtz
Joe Johnson

I know there are many more that we're missing.

Messenger, Thank you for posting a more complete list. If you can contact Alvin, I have heard him many times recite a list of Beaver Island individuals who gave their all for our country. That would be a wonderful addition to this memorial tribute. :( :(

All gave some and some gave all, remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, those vets no longer with us and thank those who served. :( =D> :( =D>

KK says to thank you for the gesture, but Brian Antkoviak was not in the military.

My apology to KK and Brian for my error. However Brian, you'd make a great Coastie! It's not too late to enlist but I think you do a great job on the Emerald Isle and the island needs your service more than the USCG. :D
